Sumeet Wareh is the Director of Player Development and  Founder of LAB 9INE, specializing in elite player development, advanced video analysis, and specialized on-ice performance tracking. Since founding the company in 2020, Sumeet has established himself as a premier developmental asset for elite major-junior and professional players guiding high-level prospects into the NHL ecosystem through a meticulous, data-driven training methodology.

Sumeet pioneered his comprehensive approach after specializing in elite video analysis and skill development across the highest levels of the sport. His background includes impactful developmental roles with the University of Calgary Men’s Hockey team  under Head Coach Mark Howell, the Medicine Hat Tigers under Head Coach Willie Desjardins, and Hockey Canada’s National Men’s U18 Team during international competition in Finland and Sweden. This elite exposure refined his ability to break down the microscopic details of the game, translating video metrics into high-speed, on-ice execution.

Rooted in a lifelong passion for athletic excellence, Sumeet was introduced to the game of hockey at two and a half years old in Elkford, BC. Guided by his father’s deep emphasis on holistic development, Sumeet trained across a diverse athletic spectrum including taekwondo, basketball, soccer, and track and field to build superior spatial awareness, mechanical adaptability, and an intrinsic love for motor-skill mastery. This multi-sport foundation directly shapes Sumeet’s coaching philosophy today, enabling him to dissect bio-mechanical movements, design highly progressive training regimens, and build the ultimate, elite-level modern hockey player.
